I am really liking these shots. you got up close and personal and were able to obtain and keep my focus. you also included some of the texture of the log and grass which I could feel by analyzing your photograph. from an essay perspective, you or someone were probably going on a hike.
Hello Manon, I like how this set of photos capture the mood of an outdoorsy person, who just wants to explore and be with nature. They have a down to earth type tone, and it allows the observer to imagine what the person is doing and feeling since the only thing you know about them is their feet. I think that your photo essay is about being with nature and being able to feel all the texture that there is. I can relate to this topic because when i was a kid all i did was play outside and half the time i never had shoes on. You did a great job showing all the different texture there is in the environment but i think another thing you can do to improve the photos is have the toes painted a color to maybe symbolize how the person is feeling. Or maybe find a trail and have that in the photo as well to add another element into the story like they are going away. An idea for a transition is to have the feet in a different section of one photo, then move in the next so it looks like they are walking throughout the sequence. I think that the best photo out of all these is the one on the log because it shows movement and there is an action taking place.
